Having achieved a merit in both Grade 8 Piano and Grade 6 Theory of Music, I started teaching in September 1998 whilst on maternity career break from Lloyds-TSB.
The business grew from strength to strength over the following months and, with the support of my husband, I severed ties with Lloyds-TSB and took on teaching as my sole profession.
A second child later, and the business firmly established, I took on Limited status in 2005 - primarily for the purpose of becoming CRB checked.
To date 26 of my pupils have collectively achieved 72 passes, mostly merits or higher, in practical and theory, from grades 1 up to 6.
